Arlington Height

Illinois

The northwest suburbs feature a mix of older neighborhoods, newer cul-de-sacs, and active commercial corridors connecting communities such as Arlington Heights, Mt. Prospect, Des Plaines, Palatine, Prospect Heights, and Wheeling. Homes near traditional downtowns are close to small parks and long-standing retail districts, whereas newer developments are dispersed along major roads. Markets and specialty food shops are located near shopping centers that attract regular visitors across the region. Pet stores are situated near busy intersections where families handle most of their errands. Each suburb has its own character, from compact streets near the Metra stations to larger residential areas farther from the train lines. Collectively, forming a connected group of communities with unique roles.

Alaina Franks

Local Account Manager

Hi! My name is Alaina Franks. I am a proud Fairview, NC native - a small tight-knit town right on the outskirts of Asheville. My love for local business stems from my family's rich history of owning and operating businesses in Buncombe County for over 100 years. I understand the love and hard work that is poured into every day as a business owner. In Fall of 2023 I traded my corporate marketing career for a role at LoLo with the anticipation of helping bridge the gap between small businesses and their communities. Where I was raised, and LoLo was brought to life, supporting local has always been a core belief. My joy comes in the form of a warm cup of local coffee while I browse a cozy bookstore… or a freshly-brewed cider and locally-raised burger at the brewery while the dogs and kids play… and of course some live bluegrass playing in the background! With each LoLo gift that I send, I hope that I give someone else a reason to stop in and get a little taste of that joy that I so love!
