St. Charles

Illinois

Life along the Fox River has a rhythm all its own. It’s steady, welcoming, and a little nostalgic. In Geneva, St. Charles, and Batavia, the heart of each downtown beats through its small shops and brick storefronts. Local bakeries fill mornings with sweetness, while family-run restaurants and bistros turn evenings into gatherings. Boutiques and galleries line the walkable streets, blending creativity with Midwestern warmth. From summer festivals along the river to winter lights that spill across old bridges, every season brings a reason to come together.

Alaina Franks

Local Account Manager

Hi! My name is Alaina Franks. I am a proud Fairview, NC native - a small tight-knit town right on the outskirts of Asheville. My love for local business stems from my family's rich history of owning and operating businesses in Buncombe County for over 100 years. I understand the love and hard work that is poured into every day as a business owner. In Fall of 2023 I traded my corporate marketing career for a role at LoLo with the anticipation of helping bridge the gap between small businesses and their communities. Where I was raised, and LoLo was brought to life, supporting local has always been a core belief. My joy comes in the form of a warm cup of local coffee while I browse a cozy bookstore… or a freshly-brewed cider and locally-raised burger at the brewery while the dogs and kids play… and of course some live bluegrass playing in the background! With each LoLo gift that I send, I hope that I give someone else a reason to stop in and get a little taste of that joy that I so love!
