Florence's Lowcountry Kitchen

1271 Folly Rd.
Charleston, SC 29412

Florence’s Lowcountry Kitchen is a tribute to Florence Moseley, the great-grandmother of Jonathan and Patrick Kish of Queen Street Hospitality Group. Florence was born in 1908 in Charleston. She worked at The American Tobacco Company’s Cigar Factory, where she met and married the plant manager, Jesse Powell. They enjoyed their life in the Lowcountry - crabbing, fishing, visiting the Limehouse Farmers Market, and creating delicious home-cooked southern meals. Florence and Jesse’s favorite dishes to cook were Crab, Shrimp, Fish, and Fried Chicken & Waffles. Every holiday, Florence would make her famous Granny's Rum Punch. They passed their recipes down to their granddaughter, Tyler, who married Steve Kish, founder of Queen Street Hospitality Group.

Local Independent Businesses Are Our Favorites

At LoLo, we’re head over heels for local independent businesses, and for good reason! These heroes are what make our communities truly special. Did you know that neighborhoods with thriving indie shops see home values outperform others by a whopping 50%? Supporting local means, you’re not just enjoying unique goods but boosting your property value too! Plus, these local gems create two-thirds of private-sector jobs, keeping our friends and family employed right here at home. And here’s the kicker: for every $100 spent at a local business, an extra $58 stays in our local economy. That’s more money for better schools, safer streets, and everything that makes a community remarkable. When we support local independents, we’re not just spreading delight – we’re investing in the very heart and soul of our neighborhoods.
