Lilly Sage Apothecary

The path to opening up the apothecary-style soap and body care shop, Lilly Sage Apothecary, was a winding road. Local business owner, Carol, was raised in Tennessee, attended art school, then left civilization behind to live in the Alaskan bush, homesteading and making her own soap. When she returned to the south, opening up shop and crafting her all-natural botanical body products seemed like a natural fit. Today, her spa-like local shop is a proverbial and literal oasis of soaps, candles, and indulgent skin care products you won’t find anywhere else.

Your Choice of Soap

What you get: Your Choice of Any Soap In 1990, Carol and Janet met in Colorado. Janet owned a successful salon and spa. Carol organized conferences and gave tarot readings on the side. In each other, they recognized kindred spirits. It's a friendship that's lasted 25 years, through the births of children, career path changes and moves (including a stint in Europe). And now, friendship has evolved into partnership with Lilly Sage Apothecary. A shared love of the ritual of bath and a drive to make others happy has become a full line of soap, lotions and potions.

Local Independent Businesses Are Our Favorites

At LoLo, we’re head over heels for local independent businesses, and for good reason! These heroes are what make our communities truly special. Did you know that neighborhoods with thriving indie shops see home values outperform others by a whopping 50%? Supporting local means, you’re not just enjoying unique goods but boosting your property value too! Plus, these local gems create two-thirds of private-sector jobs, keeping our friends and family employed right here at home. And here’s the kicker: for every $100 spent at a local business, an extra $58 stays in our local economy. That’s more money for better schools, safer streets, and everything that makes a community remarkable. When we support local independents, we’re not just spreading delight – we’re investing in the very heart and soul of our neighborhoods.
