We feature many local beers on draft and a reasonably priced wine list. Our cocktail menu has been voted one of the best in WNC by MountainX readers! All our meat comes from local farms and all our charcuterie is done in house. Chef Jay Parrino, is a graduate of New England Culinary Institute, in Montpelier, VT. He has been cooking for over 15 years professionally. Jay came to The Southern and saw, with the lack of flame, the opportunity to work on making the menu more delicious through alternative cooking methods; whether it is pickling, curing, smoking, sous-vide or baking our house made breads.
