The Baxter Bar and Arcade’s doors opened to the public on October 24th, 2014. The minds behind the Baxter are Joe Miller, Alex Joustra, Danny Miller, and Nick Stroud. Between the four of them they bring over thirty years of bar industry experience in the Triangle area. The Baxter, named after the Baxter Building in the Fantastic Four comics, offers a relaxed, tongue-in-cheek atmosphere decorated with amazing pop art, old pinball back-glasses, and arcade inspired designs. The Baxter strives to bring you an experience like no other bar in the Triangle, with its nerd-chic atmosphere and fifty vintage, all-original arcade games. The Baxter Boys spent months hunting down some of the biggest titles from the arcade industry’s golden age, between the years of 1978 and 1998. To add to the atmosphere and ever growing arcade selection, the Baxter offers the best in local beers and micro brews, plus a great selection of liquor and wine. The Baxter has all the favorites, from PBR Tall Boys to their most favored specialty drink: the “She-Hulk”.
