How it Started: A Local Approach

LoLo (short for Locals Supporting Locals) started with a simple idea: big-brand rewards don’t support small businesses.

Co-founders Clark Harris and Matthew Simpson were frustrated that credit card perks and marketing incentives primarily benefited national chains, leaving out the local businesses that make communities unique.

In 2015, Beverly-Hanks & Associates, Realtors approached LoLo with a challenge: How can we help our agents stay connected with their sphere—without using spammy marketing tactics or impersonal gifts? The answer? A hyper-local, relationship-driven approach to client retention.

In 2016, LoLo launched its first campaign. What started as a simple idea quickly became a game-changer—helping sales professionals strengthen client relationships while driving foot traffic to local businesses at no cost to the local business.
